The founding fathers understood human nature and the Bible better than any modern academic or politician. The men who wrote the constitution were all familiar with the Ten commandments. One of which reads:
Neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s house, his field, nor his manservant, nor his maid, his ox, nor his ass, nor ought that thy neighbor hath.
The constitution gave citizens the right to succeed or fail, to work hard, earn money and save it without fearing the tax man to break into your house and steal it from you.
Coveting someone else’s money is the heart of Obama’s redistribution of wealth scheme. Every time Obama talks about the evil rich, he’s talking about hard working folks who work, save and invest. The evil rich are people in your neighborhood who start a business, make a small profit and hire their neighbors to work for them. Government has no right to determine how much profit it too much. Government has not right to take those profits just because they desire them and redirect your money to the entitlement class.
Obama, the Democrats and progressive Republicans covet everything you have. Anyone who has built a small nest egg for their retirement, can afford to take a vacation and drives their SUV to a vacation spot should surrender their ill gotten gains to the government, so some politician can give it to those who are more deserving. Obama calls it “spreading the wealth around.” I call it theft.
If people work all their lives and have paid income taxes, social security taxes, medicare taxes, property taxes, state and local taxes and still managed to put by enough money to help fund their retirement years, will loose it when they die. What right does the government have to tax it again through the estate tax. The prudent saver and investor should be able to pass their savings to their children and grandchildren without government theft. Spending addicted politicians covet our savings, because they are better, smarter and will spend that money better than your children.
Under Obamacare, the IRS can impose fines on uninsured people and business owners in Obamacare, and punish people if they fail to purchase health insurance. The IRS does not just collect revenue any more, they are the government enforcer to make people behave. They have access to your checking account and will take the money right out of your account. Cap and Trade taxes punish people for using incandescent light bulbs, driving a truck or SUV. EPA home inspectors plan to inspect you home when you want to sell it and demand people buy all new energy efficient appliances.
Coveting someone’s property leads to theft. And Politicians have become masters at justifying theft from income producers and transferring that wealth to non-producers. To paraphrase Barack Obama, “Government greed fuels a faceless bureaucrat in need. ”
