Roundup of some interesting July weather records

As of today, wer have had 23 consecutive days without sunspots. The bottom of our solar minimum was said to be past and the state of cycle 24 was said to have started. In 2006, David Hathaway predicted solar cycler would set a record for high activity, but he’s now saying we could be headed for a Dalton Minimu. See NASA now saying that a Dalton Minimum repeat is possible.  Maybe they are starting to realize the cooling temperatures we are having this summer are a warning that we will have significantly cooler temperatures this winter. Maybe that’s why Congress is in a desperate race to figure out how to tax energy with uses carbon before voters realize our climate in not impacted by CO2. These lower than average summer temnperatures are a signla to me that I need to purchase a couple extra tons of coal for my winter heat source.

“Watts up with That” reports July temperatures nationally were the losest on record.
