In an interview on FOX’s Happening Now, Republican Congressman Mike Rogers (R-MI) told his personal story of battling cancer at age 19 and raised concerns that a government-run health care system would have left him without the care needed to beat his illness.
Rationed health care, delays in delivering health care do not equal not quality health care.
The Obama health care plan has built incentives into their plan to enable businesses cancel health care plans. A company that puts 15% per employee pay into a company provided health care would only pay an 8% penalty to the government if they stop providing insurance. This would give companies an incentive to drop health coverage and force workers on to government care.
