Death of a Civilization

CNN Reports: House Democrats unsure of global warming bill’s passage

This Friday, House speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to have a vote on the “Clean Energy and Security Act” sponsored by Democrats Rep. Henry Waxman and Rep Ed Markey. Nancy Pelosi, and her fellow House Democrats are lobbying their counterparts to support a landmark energy bill. Their grandiose plan will decimate what industrial base remains in the United States, run up electricity bills of average consumers $2,000 a year but Democrats are determined to fight global warming with technology that does not yet exist. They believe in a Utopian vision , but not capitalism.  The Republicans are waging a heroic fight but they are outnumbered. They only hope to defeating this bill is convincing a few sensible Democrats that they will face an angry electorate if they enact this massive tax on energy.

Passage of the Waxman-Markey bill tax any industry that produces CO2 to force them to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and require use of alternative energy.

17 percent emissions reduction from 2005 levels by 2020, mandate electric utilities to meet 20% of their electricity demand through renewable energy sources by 2020, provide $90 billion for new investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy, along with $60 billion for carbon capture and sequestration. Another key provision, termed “cap-and-trade,” would require industries and manufacturers to cut carbon emissions by setting up a system where they could buy and sell pollution credits.

Throughout history there have other cases where true believers set up community policies that have caused mass extinction of their villages.  The true believers hear the prophetic message of doom and gloom and decide the best alternative is to commit mass extinction.  In 1978 a group of true believers listened to Jim Jones and committed mass suicide by drinking kool-aid laced with poison. Now the Democrats are listening to another prophet of doom and gloom, Jim Hansen, who believes the end of our world is near unless we force everyone to live in caves lit compact florescent light bulbs. Please take a few minutes to read the story about the Xhosa people.  Then, if you can, send the article “Death of Civilization” to your congressman. And Pray you congressman can read.

This memorial is situated near Bisho in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. It commemorates the mass killing of cattle in the Eastern Cape that took place in the 1850s . A Xhosa prophetess had delivered a message from the ancestors saying that the Xhosa must slaughter their cattle (wealth) so that they could rise again anew after defeats by the British colonialsts and mass deaths of their cattle from a lung disease. Following the massacre, some 40000 Xhosa died of starvation. The inscription reads “HERE REST MEN, WOMEN AND CHILDREN - INNOCENT VICTIMS OF THE 1856/7 CATASTROPHIC CATTLE KILLING”.

Read the remarkable story about the Xhosa people who committed mass suicide by killing their cattle and destroying their grain. in order to bring about a prophetic vision of a new world made free if they heeded the prophetic vision.  Our elected representatives could learn a lot from this cautionary tale and should learn the Cap and Trade taxes will only destroy our entire civilized world and return everyone except the elites to a pre-technological utopia.

Just called Congressman Boccieri’s office and spoke with Cathy. She was very polite and professional with me - she stated that as of today she does not know Mr. Boccieri’s position on the Cap and Trade Bill but they have been getting numerous calls and the office is forwarding all the responses to the Congressman. I gave her my position.

If you have a different Congressman please let us know their reaction.

    Don’t forget to call
